Hi,
I am new to F5 and having the following concern with the GTM configuration .
When i define a wideip for example "test.example.com" i see a zone is configured and the GTM is Acting as Name server for the domain.
I dont want the GTM to be the name server for that domain and i need the GTM to respond to the hosted doamin "test.example.com" only.
Is there any option in the GTM that stops creating a zone when we define an wideip.
Regards,
Rajesh

You could simply make it a name server for test.example.com only. I am assuming you have another DNS server is the master - rajesh1

Thanks for the inputs..I decided to delegate a subdomain lb.example.com to the GTM's and define a cname www.example.com ---> www.lb.example.com
I am having Two GTM's and are in same synchronization group.
Can you advice me how to setup the Zones in both the GTM's
For example GTM1 - Master for lb.example.com and GTM 2 - Slave for lb.example and
recommended configuration in the GTM - jelmore_42505

I have the same setup and I didnt even bother worrying about which was master/slave. Unless you are manually adding entries to the zone they should already be synced by the GTM automatically configuring it. Also all DNS requests should be intercepted by the GTM unless all services are down for that wideip and it has to fallback to bind.
