GTM - maximum and recommended number of pools under the Wide IP

Hello,

 

Is there many maximum and / or recommended number of pools under the Wide IP for the DNS load balancing? We have one project that requires DNS resolution based on the source address which involve 40+ sites. This means 40+ pools will need to be created for a single Wide IP. Do you think it is realistically reasonable to have 40+ pools under a single Wide IP in production environment, from performance wise, reliability and other aspects? Our hardware is 6400 running on ver 10.0.

    Hi Ray,

     

    Performance wise its not recommended in production environment but maximum number is 255. You can go with iRule selection method. Hope this will helpful.
