Forwarding traffic to external website
I’m having problem with the following scenario-
- F5 is set in one arm mode- clients and servers are external.
-
Clients connect to VIP on url tcp:80; Server side is configured for https. External Client > VIP:80 > External Server:443
-
Server profile is set to ignore certificates.
- The server pool is populated with FQDN
Client browser gets error “ Bad Reequest; Your browser sent a request that server could not understand”.
I did some troubleshooting-
curl https://www.jstor.org –vk ( f5 can connect to outside server without problem).
I tried setting my https server as a member of the pool. The client get connected to the server correctly.
Please help.

Okay, so a few questions.

You say, "The server pool is populated with FQDN ;, and then "I tried setting my https server as a member of the pool". Is the resolved IP for the same as "my https server"? Otherwise what's the difference?

Do you have SNAT enabled on the VIP? And when you have it configured to go to , do you see any traffic trying to go the correct IP?
