force pool member offline permantently after fail healthcheck.

Is there a way to force offline a pool member after it fails the health check the first time ?

In other words, if the health check comes back OK after subsequent tries, the LB will not send requests to it because it has been marked offline.

  • You can set the Manual Resume option to Yes in the corresponding monitor. This will mark the failed node offline until it is manually reactivated by the administrator.

  • Great. I'll look into this. Can I configure it in such a way that it uses another member after it first fails ?

  • Manual resume is a per-node function. If a single node fails a monitor with manual resume enabled, only that node will be marked offline. The other pool members will continue to accept traffic.

  • How can I make it so that only one member accepts traffic at a time ?.

  • You can enable priority group activation and give each pool member a different priority value. Higher priority values have preference.
