F5 to vmWare scripting (python / ?? ) auto-provisioning

Hello,

 

I am looking for examples and some starting points/documentation to perform some auto provisioning.

 

I want to be able to send a call from the F5 to the vCenter or the ESXi host directly and spin up a new VM if performance is high on the existing vm?

 

Or if if I have a two-node Active/Standby and one of the nodes becomes unresponsive/suspect, then I want to replace that node automatically? Things like this.

 

Any example scripts, documentation and especially real life stories of what others are doing in this area would be great. I assume python is a good way to go but I'm open to other languages.
