Cirrostratus"If it ain't broke..." applies! We've had far better stability and support by finding the software 'sweet spot' and staying put but following HotFixes that can't be remediated manually. For us that's 11.2.1 - now with extended development and support until the end of 2017 and 2018, respectively.
From sol5903 it looks like 10.* technical support ends next year.
