f5 load balancer - SMTP not allowing us to send external
This may be a weird situation, so I appreciate your patience in advance.
I started a new position at a job that uses f5 for some load balancing. However, the team here is all new to the company after the f5 was installed. None of us have much knowledge of the f5 except a log in, as no one left with a knowledge transfer of this piece. We are now facing a situation where we are needing some SMTP emails to go external but the f5 appears to be stopping this from happening. We have tested this by creating a round robin in DNS using smtp2.domain.com that bypasses the f5 and external SMTP emails work fine.
So, is there anyone f5 savvy enough to walk me through the settings you would need to know to figure out why this is happening? We would prefer to continue to use the f5 if it is helping, but right now it is hurting.

A bit hard to tell frankly as we have no info about the network layout, the BIG-IP configuration and so on. There's plenty of savvy guys here so if you give us more details we might be able to help you out. But I would seriously recommend that you urge your employer to let you attend some training courses to give you a good start in working with the BIG-IP.
