F5 console connection
Hi everyone,
I´m new at F5 technology and trying to connect to an appliance by console.
I have a F5 console cable and I´m wondering what type of adapter I can use to connect the other end of the cable to my laptop. Should I use a RS232 to USB adapter to console to the device like on Cisco or use other connector?
thanks in advance.
Nuno

An RS232 to USB adapter should definitely work.

that´s good to know but actually I can´t get one converter for today so are there any other options to establish a console connection to the appliance?
tks

A physical "console" connection is established by connecting to the console port on the front of the BIG-IP. Aside from that you could SSH into management by connecting an ethernet cable to the management network port and connecting to the management IP (192.168.1.245 by default). You can change the management IP using the LCD screen.
