F5 ASM DoS Profile TPS (Transaction per second) and Connection per second

Hi Gurus

 

I am configuring DoS profile and need to tune the profile. The tuning is base on TPS (transaction per second) but in the statistic, I only see the connection information.

 

  • is transaction the same with connection?
  • how can I estimate the TPS?

    ASM DoS TPS is basically HTTP requests per second i believe, that will most likely be different then connections per second (depends a little on your sites config).

     

    this is a statistic you can view for the whole box at least, not sure if that is possible per virtual server. also if you enable AVR you will get this value per virtual server.
