F5 APM Folder Shares (like Firepass)

Hi,

 

We are trying to configure F5 File Sharing in APM (like F5 Firepass), but do not find any option in the APM version 11.5.0

 

We have folders shared in F5 Firepass, similarly we are trying to configure APM to make those folders available to the APM clients.

 

Will appreciate the immediate help!

    Hi, This function is afaik not available in the APM. you need thirdparty software to do so (storgrid for example).

    indeed, if you search this place you see it asked about before and the answer remains no although APM gets some improvements. be sure to contact you local SE and ask about this, there is a RFE with lots of input for it.

    We went through this as well moving from the Firepass to the BIG-IP. In the Firepass we gave people two options, one was to map the drives through a VPN tunnel and the other was to use the browser. 99% of the time people mapped the drive though, you can have it to where it creates the tunnel and runs the script at the same time which works great for Windows users. With Mac users it's possible to do this but we never had enough demand to figure it out.
