export/import save/load config file

  I am brand new to F5. I am on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Our F5 is on Linux.     I'm looking for some basic documentation on how to work with xml config files.     ...

How can I backup the xml config file ?

i do not think configuration is in xml format.

to merge configuration, you can use "load sys config merge" tmsh command.
