Does the iControl Powershell snap-in have version requirements?

AS per the title, if we want to start using the iControl snap-in for Powershell, are there any F5 minimum version requirements (or other restrictions)?

 

I've tried looking for documentation on this and thus far I have not been able to find any.

    The only version requirements are that you can only use the methods that were introduced on your platform. We build the iControl libraries as additive in that new methods are added to new releases. The PowerShell snapin is built on top of the iControl library for .Net. If you get the latest version, it should support 11.4 of iControl which supports version 11.4 of BIG-IP and back with the exception of methods that were introduced in newer versions than your target platform.

     

    Look on the iControl homepage in the wiki for a bunch of "New In Version xxx" topics that tell on a version by version basis what methods when methods were introduced to the products. We also have version information in the API reference as well.
