Hi Adriano. We have not done any testing or validation of solutions with big-ip and OTD. It would appear somewhat redundant, as OTD is the software load balancing software included with Weblogic, and big-ip is a hardware load balancing and applicaiton delivery controller. I'm not exactly sure why you want to use both at the same time.

Perhaps you can share a little more about what you are trying to accomplish by using both ?

  • Hi Adriano ; important fact to note is that the main functional difference is related to the use of InfiniBand ; there are some functional caracterirsticas to be taken into account such as disable plus recycle TIMEWAIT 's own middleware layer optimizations (WLS ) ; Moreover keep in mind the advantages of having such an LTM + GTM + AFM adding geographical aldisponibilidad and security to your solution (to ensure your WebServices can include ASM).Any doubt gladly Leave me to know with help you, as you mentioned depends on your application and its requirements primarily , have to see the OTD as a switch intermediate layer 4 natively leveraging your connections infiniband not IPoIB & EoIB that would be associated with the external communication via Ethernet gateway switch

    Best regards
