NimbostratusDisk partition /var/log has only 4% free
Hi all, I have this error msg in f5 console and in ltm log. This is result of df -h command: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-dat.log.1 6.9G 6.3G 285M 96% /var/log
The size of used space in /var/log is no more than 9 Mb.
And this other error msg. emerg alertd[4983]: 01100048:0: Log disk usage still higher than 80% after logrotate and 24 times log deletion
Could anyone give suggestion about what files and how can I remove from /var/log to free up the space. Thanks in advance

can you post an ls -l from the /var/log folder?

This is how to get some more info on what files are eating up your harddrive. The
command forces thedu -x . | sort -n
(disk usage) command to limit itself to the /var/log partition. Thedu
command will sort the output of du to display from smallest to largest files. In the example below you can see that the directory /var/log itself usages the most disk space.sort[root@nielsvs-bigip:Active:Standalone] ~ cd /var/log [root@nielsvs-bigip:Active:Standalone] log du -x . | sort -n 2 ./ConsoleKit 2 ./fpuserd ... ... ... 1006 ./restnoded 1644 ./avr 2005 ./datasync 12600 ./ts 14520 ./sa6 27363 ./auditd 109245 . Denevor_21741Hi JotaCePena, do you continue with this issue...? I have the same issue and I plan to execute a controled reboot on the box, even though I deleted the big files it seems like the logic space continues allocated.
