DHCP for VS address?

Im just looking at options for our Dev env's and is there a way of assigning vs IP's via DCHP? or am I stuck with manually configuring?

 

(I know I could do something with iControl, but that's not what I am asking :) )

    Hi David, they are no build in feature available as of today. As your are mentionning, orchestration is the direction today with iControl to let a controler to the job and assigning an IP.

     

    We are working with new IAPP coming in V12 to maybe allowing closer integration with IPAM to retrieve an IP during deployement.

     

    Icall could also be a direction to take if you want to implement something. Icall let you run shell script, so perhaps using dhclient to get the ip and then modify the configuration on the fly in tmsh.

    Thanks, would be nice if it was possible to use DHCP, I know it wouldnt suit everyone or every application / scenario.

     

    When is v12 due for release?

     

    Will take a look into Icall.
