we need to change from snat to route mode making the server gateway to point the self ip address of ltm.
when i change the same it does not work, do i need to change something on the profile.
Backend server ip 172.20.10.10 self ip 172.20.10.20
both of them on same subnet
vip 192.168.10.20
i disable snat, profile i use standard.
Any help

In most cases, you need to ensure that there is no asymmetric routing. A quick test is to connect a laptop right on 192.168.10.20 segment, and try accessing the vs IP 192.168.10.20, and see if you are able to reach the pool member.
For example, access 192.168.10.20:80 and see if you are able to reach the service on 172.20.10.10:80
