Denied Access to Portal due to Norton 360 AV
Hi,
I have an access policy configured to allow remote access to remote users connecting in from their home PC's. An access policy is configured to check for that the AV is up to date within 14 days & the Firewall is enabled. If endpoint passes both AV and Firewall checks they are granted access to the portal. I have a user running Windows 7 Home which has Norton 360 (Version 22.10.1.10) installed which also comes with a Norton firewall which is enabled. Windows defender is also on the endpoint but in a disabled state.
The AV is up to date with the latest definitions and the firewall is enabled. However the F5 also denies access to to AV & Firewall checks.
I have tested both the Norton firewall and the Windows firewall , however it makes no difference which one is enabled.
I am using a virtual appliance version BIG-IP 12.1.2 Build 0.0.249 Final. I have updated the EPSEC version to 1.0.0-580.0 (OESIS 4.2.1234.0)
I have also had this issue with clients with AVG installed. F5 advised that AVG was not supported.
Can anybody shed any light on why F5 is denying access?
Many Thanks
Sean

Hi Sean, I have users with the same issue. F5 Support has confirmed a bug with the Opswat components and Norton 360. Most likely F5 will release a new EPSEC package to fix it at some point.
