When editing the /config/user_alert.conf file, is it necessary to reboot the Bigip LTM to load the file's contents into memory? If so, is there a way to get user_alert.conf to work without rebooting...

Oct 23, 2013I think there is no need to reboot too. I think these solutions would be helpful.

Oct 24, 2013you are correct.. I tested. No need to reboot. However, do you know how it throttles alerts. For example, if I catch http response 500 and send out an alert, subsequent 500 responses are logged but not sent as alerts. What is the throttle before it sends the same type of alert?
