CRL Checking With iRules

Hi all. Is there a way to enable, disable or perform CRL checking from within an iRule? I'd only like to do CRL checks for some clients, not all but I suspect I won't be able to do this directly in an iRule.

Could I perhaps apply two ClientSSL profiles (one with CRL enabled, one without) to a Virtual Server and switch between them from an iRule. Perhaps I could transparently redirect to another Virtual with a different profile applied? Any suggestions welcome and appreciated. Cheers
