hi,
I am new to the big ip world. Say I have a pool with 2 nodes in it configured for Round Robin and I have hosts that are connecting fine to the nodes but more to one then the other and my client wants to know why that is??

This doesn't have much to do with iRules. The most common reason you'd see one node receiving more connections than another is that you've configured a persistence profile on the virtual server. If you haven't and you're still seeing one node receive more connections, it might be because of OneConnect minimizing the number of times a new serverside connection is established for multiple client connections made on the same clientside TCP connection. SOL7208 (Click here) has details on OneConnect.
If you have further questions, you might try searching AskF5 or contacting F5's support group.
