Configuration migration
Hi Nut,
I would highly recommend that you reconsider what you are attempting to do (jump from v9.x.x to v11.3.x). The differences between these two version could only be described as "drastic".
The only way I could even think that what your doing could be successful would be if you did the migration by hand (one item at a time) because the configuration file format is so different. However, even doing that would require that you modify all of your monitors and iRules (for CMP Compatibility).
My suggestion for you would be to do the following: 1. Upgrade your 3400 to v10.2.4 2. Downgrade your 4200 to v10.2.4 3. Migrate your configuration file from your 3400 to your 4200. 4. Upgrade your 4200 with your migrated configuration to v11.3.x.
The upgrade from v9.x.x to v10.2.4 will take care of a lot of your monitors and give you the opportunity to check any of your iRules for deprecated commands and CMP Compatibility.
The upgrade from v10.2.4 to v11.3.x would put you in a situation where you could use the experiences of others and F5 Support to get you through any other configuration load issues that you may encounter.
Best of luck.
