Mar 02, 2010Client install
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help\point me in the right direction. We're the customer of a company who use the firepass vpn. The current method of installation is to connect to the company’s website using a certificate and password and then various active x components get installed.
Unfortunately as our users are non-admin they don't have the rights to perform the installs themselves. Rather than trying to snapshot to installation of the active x controls and virtual network adapters etc.. I was hoping there would be a standalone installer that we could push out using SCCM. Does such a thing exist?
Many thanks in advance.
Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the quick response! Excellent, the F5 Service Installer sounds exactly what I was after. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the client downloads section on the website? I've had a hunt round on the devcentral site, as well as the main F5 site and can't seem to find a client downloads section. Sorry to be a pain, would you mind putting a link up?
Thanks,

It is actually on the Firepass, I can not link to it. It is under the Device Management -> Client Downloads -> Windows x86 -> Download Tab. - mike_c_61607

Ah ok, that's why I couldn't find it on the web then! Good to know I wasn't being daft!
OK I'll have to get in touch with our suppliers IT dept. to see if they can pass that onto us.
Thanks again for your assistance.
Cheers,
Mike
