Can I publish a resource on a VS as a Portal Access resource in a webtop?
I have a VS where all of our Intranet web apps are. I need to give some contractors access to this VS, and I wanted to do it via webtop. My webtop is already in production and works fine, so I created a Portal Access resource configured as a link and entered the path to the Intranet app on the VS. When I attempt to access this resource through the webtop, I get a 'This page can't be displayed' error. Is it possible to publish a resource on an existing VS as a Portal Access resource in a webtop? Thanks, Dan

"Page can't be displayed" can result from many different things.
Yes, you can put anything on a webtop. If it's not a resource (apptunnel, remote desktop, portal resource, etc), you can define it as a "webtop link" which is a free-form URL. It could be a link to google or whatever you like.

The goal is to make Intranet resources available to contractors from the internet without a VPN. In a webtop, this means it must be published as a 'Portal Access' resource, not a 'Webtop Link'. Specifically, can a resource that is published on an Intranet VS (which is accessible only inside the corporate network) be published as a Portal Access resource in a webtop that is accessed via the internet? - Seth_Cooper

The short answer is yes you can publish Portal Access Resources on a webtop and have them access internal sites. If you are getting a page cannot be displayed, can you verify that you have connectivity from the APM self IP to the intranet resource? In Portal Access the APM becomes the client to the intranet app so you need to make sure that if it is HTTPS that you have a server side ssl profile and that you can connect between the two devices. -Seth
