Browser with cookies disabled - JSESSION ID persist

My problem is that we have an application that currently works by using "Active HTTP Cookie" for persistence on te pool. When a client browser has cookies disabled (not accepting) locally, the app breaks by persistence not working.

 

 

This is a dynamic, JBOSS backend which does insert the jsession ID into the URI. Can anyone assist in composing an iRule to inspect that jsession id embedded in the URI and persist on that? I've seen some examples for the v9 platforms, but nothing for 4.X.
