BIP-IP resource used by iRule Table set ?
Dear All,
We use iRule "table set" command to save Radius AVP data into BIP-IP.
What kind of resources are required by table set ?
How can we judge or look, the resources are enough or not for this iRule ?
Thank.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
The table command is a another way to access the session table and utilizes the normal system resources, so it would depend on the size of the box and what you are going to do with it (the heavier the load on the box the lower the amount of resources you have to utilize). I would recommend digging into these articles for additional information:

What will happen if the iRule uses too much RAM, by creating too many table entries, too quickly for any to expire? Would it crash the system or otherwise threaten the systems' ability to handle traffic? or are there some built in defenses?
Thanks a lot,
Mohamed.
