Nov 21, 2012BIG-IP didn't generate LOG
HI
I use BIGIP version 11.2.1 and provision for LTM and AVR.
I have a problem about BIG-IP didn't generate log ..(log folder is empty)
and when i use command "bigstart status" I see "logd down, Not provisioned" , does it relate?
how to fix this log generate problem?
thank you

The logd service being down is a red herring. What folder are you looking in? It should be: /var/log/ - kridsana

yeah in folder /var/log is empty
but when i use command "ls" in SSH , I can see item in that folder.
so confused -_-
and how to start logd? (I can't bigstart start logd cause logd is not provisioned) - What_Lies_Bene1

Logd doesn't need to be running. What shows /var/log as empty exactly, I didn't think you could check other than via SSH or console.
Or do you mean in the Configuration Utility GUI? - kridsana

I can see log files properly from SSH and GUI.
but when i want to copy this log files from WinSCP. that folder is empty and have 0 bytes -_-.
it's very strange.
ps. I'll try to use other program. - kridsana

You're welcome. WinSCP should work fine, I've used it myself. Perhaps some configuration setting in the software?
