backup from production and restore in the lab

I have two GTMs each running 10.2. One is in production and other is in the test lab.

The lab and production networks are not connected.

The set of users in the lproduction is different from set of users in the lab.

I need to copy & restore the application config (servers, pools, irules, wideip, zones etc..) from the production to the lab GTM. Can I use the UCS file? how doe0s it work with the user accounts?

Thanks

  • Yes, you can use the UCS file, but it will load only the LTM module config. You may have to winscp the wideip.conf file under /config/gtm directory from prod to your test appliance for the GTM config.

The user accounts will be replicated once you install the UCS file.
