ASM Violation
Does the ASM violation trigger even virtual servers status is down . Just wanted to know what the sequence of F5 on this.
I do see lot of ASM violations (HTTP illegal) are triggering even though the virtual servers and pool members are down .

You wouldn't think it would bother to inspect any requests for a VS that is offline, but now you've got me curious. I'm going to have to test this in my lab environment. Do you have active policies on any other VS's which are online?

My tests prove my assumption, VS being down means no traffic processed for that destination IP, period. Have you tried filtering the violation events by say destination IP to ascertain which VS is being hit? It must be one of your other VS's which is still online with a policy and logging profile applied to it.
