ASM Violation

Does the ASM violation trigger even virtual servers status is down . Just wanted to know what the sequence of F5 on this.   I do see lot of ASM violations (HTTP illegal) are triggering even though...

My tests prove my assumption, VS being down means no traffic processed for that destination IP, period. Have you tried filtering the violation events by say destination IP to ascertain which VS is being hit? It must be one of your other VS's which is still online with a policy and logging profile applied to it.
