As with any increase in inspection and processing, you're going to see a performance hit. It's impossible to say, exactly, how much of a performance difference you'll see though, as that will depend on many factors. How much traffic will you be passing? What type of traffic is it? How big is the average packet? How many VIPs/pools will you be running? Etc. etc.
The only way to get a good feel for what kind of increase in utilization you'll see is to give it a try in test/dev.
