APM and RSA for Citrix 2 Factor Authentication

This is more of a question regarding the flow. When I create the authentication agents on the RSA device, it asks me for a hostname as well as its corresponding IP address. We have an active/standby configuration for our LTMs and each one has more than one Self-IP (i.e. one static and one floating). The DNS entries were created for the static Self-IPs. I'm trying to determine which Self-IP address will communicate with the RSA device? Will it use just the non-floating ones or does it just use any one of them at random?

  • because this traffic doesn't go through a pool (i believe, not sure if the big-ip doesn't create one internally) i would expect it to come from the non floating self IP. so both must be known on the RSA side.
