APM : what is a webtop after all ?
Dear all,
I am quite new to BigIP APM and wanted to learn how to set up VPN connection. I found several documents about APM and the configuration descriptions in them frequently refer to something called "webtop". I understand that there are different kind of webtops and I have to create a webtop of a specific type and bind it to a profile (client, connection ? ) but I could not find any definition of what a webtop basically is ? What is it good for ? Is this basically a listening port bouded to an URL ?
Could somene please direct me to a useful document which clarifies this question ?
Thanks in advance,
Laszlo

The Access Policy Manager Portal Access Guide has a pretty good description of the types of webtops, but essentially a webtop is a "resting" page. It is the resultant document presented to the client (browser) on successful evaluation of the access policy. It can contain icons/links to other objects (ie. Citrix apps/desktops, VMware View desktops, portal resources, links, folders, etc.). It can also hold the assigned portal and network resources.
