Another downgrade topic

Hi again everyone.

Over the last couple of days I've hit numerous snags around our upgrading of our production LTMs from 11.2.1 -> 11.3 - this can only be resolved by an upgrade to memory due to the module limitations imposed in 11.3.

However, this now means that our test LTMs are running version 11.4 (11.3 also installed on HD partition). I've been asked to downgrade them to 11.2.1 HF8. When I did this to 1 of the LTMs it eventually came up with all default options and no config at all.

cpcfg is only for >= version

SCF gives numerous errors about various policies, modules etc etc, and once these were removed it failed with:

01020036:3: The requested BIGdb variable (tmm.classallocatemetadata) was not found.

Unexpected Error: Loading configuration process failed.

So I'm wondering what other options there are for this. I have a couple of ucs files that I could copy back when the partion with 11.2.1 is in use - could these be loaded in? This would limit the number of changes I spose. Or should I just leave them on 11.4 and push to get the production ones upgraded?

Thanks in advance for any info and opinions.

  • Thanks for the link I will have a thorough read of that on Monday morning when I'm back in the office.
  • Would you mind going into a bit of detail about the problems you had upgrading from 11.2.1 to 11.3 and the reason that you were trying to get to 11.3?

Thanks, and I hope you get it figured out. We are sticking with 11.2.1 for the moment.
