Have you looked at Performance Statistics (Statistics > Performance : Traffic Report) or Dashboard Statistics (Statistics > Dashboard)? Both of those offer connection statistics over time. And you can download Dashboard Statistics history (including raw data) to a local file for reporting elsewhere.
