This question is a little bit vague in what you actually want to accomplish. You can customize most pages in APM under the "Advanced Customization" section.

Can you clarify a little bit about what you want and we can see if we can help?

For me, I have found that customizing the webtop is severely limiting in that the header and footer are the only parts that can be changed.

yeah, there isn't a whole lot you can do. though you can take out that help and textbox fine, see sol:

but if you want to change the general style it probably means diving much deeper and exactly why do you want to?
