You can add an string to the session table with an optional timeout, using the session command (Click here). To make this data available to another virtual server, you can use the 'any virtual' option. The examples on the wiki page are a bit limited. I'll dig around in the next day or two and try to find a working example. In the meantime, you can search this forum for 'session any virtual' to get more ideas.
