Active-Standby

Should a standby LTM in an Active/Standby configuration be executing the same monitors and traps as the active. If so, is there any way of stopping it and is that advisable? thanks!

is there any way of stopping it and is that advisable?i am not aware of it but you may try to start/stop snmpd and bigd daemons upon failover.

anyway, i think it is correct to do health monitoring and trap even unit is standby. this will make sure unit can process traffic right away after failover.
