Access Policy Evaluation is already in progress for your current session
"Access Policy Evaluation is already in progress for your current session" error message is shown on browser when multiple URLs (Access Policy protected) are accessed from multiple browser tabs. It appears to be a known bug as per https://cdn.f5.com/product/bugtracker/ID579652.html link. I also tried workaround given here https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K33895522 but it didn’t resolve this issue.

Hello, do you mean that that you have multiple Access Policies on multiple Virtual Servers or accessing the same AP on a single VIP in the multiple tabs?

Hi Dave,
Thanks for looking into it.
I am accessing URLs from the same AP on a single VIP in the multiple tabs.
Thanks,
Shyam

Adding more details to it:
Following steps can be used to reproduce this issue (at step#3):
- End-Users accesses F5 APM (using SAML authentication) URL in a browser tab
- F5 redirects to IdP login page but end-user doesn’t enter login credentials.
- End-user accesses another F5 APM protected URL from the same browser on another tab and enter login credentials then F5 displays that error message “Access Policy Evaluation is already in progress”
Expected Solution:
At above step#3, instead of displaying error message user should be taken to requested F5 APM protected URL after successful authentication.

Are these 2 different Access Policies on 2 different VIPs? On each Access Policy what is the Profile Scope set to?

Hi Dave,
I am using only single Access Policy on single Virtual server for all our URLs.
In Access Policy, Profile Scope is set to Profile.
Thanks,
Shyam
