4000s - SharePoint 2013 - Load Balancing - iApp - Monitors

I am trying to get some definitive information about the 4000s that the client I am at is running. The netadmin says that they can't do any kind of monitoring and that the load balancing is only ping...

Hi Jeremy, the short answer is yes and yes. These BIG-IPs can do active monitoring and you should follow the SharePoint deployment guide (and use the iApp template if running 11.0 or later).
