Error when downloading from downloads.f5.com
I was given a task to update our F5 Viprion's software version this weekend. However, upon checking for the latest software version on F5's downloads website, I came across an error which is: Export Compliance Check - Failure All downloadable files are presented with this error when I tried to download.
Upgrade/Downgrade BIG-IP VE (lab license)
I'm finding differing information on upgrading/downgrading BIG-IP VE and would like to confirm the process. I have a lab license and would like to be able to switch between versions (11.2, 12.x - 13) to be able to lab new configurations as well as legacy configs and exercises around certification. Before doing so I wanted to be sure that this could be done simply performing normal upgrade/downgrade procedures (install new version on partition and boot into it). I understand that re-configuration may be required when switching between versions and that will not be a problem. This link references v13 and notes that the VM does not need to be re-installed, just perform a normal update (download image, install image, boot into new partition) This link for Hyper-V and v12 indicates that when upgrading to v12.1 the VM should be re-installed and Support contacted to transfer the license. This link also for Hyper-V and for older versions (10.2 - 11.1) lists a more involved process. It may not be applicable due to being for an older version. The answer may simply be use the normal upgrade process. However given that some references appear to indicate that the VM should be re-installed when moving between certain versions, I'd like to be sure that I do this 'properly' to ensure the final system is stable and accounts for any changes between versions (maybe larger disks were provisioned or something...). Hey DevCentral, I'm working on upgrading from 12.0.0 to 12.1.0 HF1. Part one, installing the base OS 12.1.0 goes fine, but when I go to install HF1, it continuously gets an RPM Transaction Failure. I have retried this four times now, rebooting the device after each and reuploading the ISO. I'm not quite sure what it means, and I can't find much information about it online. Any help as to learning what happened and how to overcome it would be appreciated. Thank you!Upgrading from 11.6 to 12.1
There are several features available at the 12.x version of code that are pushing us to upgrade. I have not seen anything in the release notes that say upgrading from 11.6 directly to 12.1 (bypassing 12.0) is unsupported. Has anyone tried this? If so, what issues have you encountered? Currently a vCMP guest with version 11.6.0 HF6
Help Lost my F5 after Software activation
I had Version 11.1 and installed version 11.6 on my LTM 3900 the I wen via web interface and told it to boot from the disc containing the new version. And since nada the unit is not responding to ping from Management interface or any of the active interface. All my sites are down please help
