Upgrading from 11.6 to 12.1

There are several features available at the 12.x version of code that are pushing us to upgrade. I have not seen anything in the release notes that say upgrading from 11.6 directly to 12.1 (bypassing 12.0) is unsupported.

Has anyone tried this? If so, what issues have you encountered?

Currently a vCMP guest with version 11.6.0 HF6

  • It's fully supported to go from 11.6 to 12.1 I've actually done it before.

The one caveat I'll add is make sure you current license has software assurance and that you can move forward to upgrading to version 12. A quick call to support and they should be able to validate your eligibility to upgrade to 12.x

  • Hi,

You can try the iHealth Upgrade Advisor on iHealth webapp.

It may help find out some upgrade warnings

  • Yes, it is (at least from my experience), but keep in mind that the 11.6.0 train will reach "end of software development" this month.

  • Any "gotcha's" when upgrading from v11 to v12? I'm targeting 12.1.1 HF1. Hoping not to be hit with anything across the upgrade. Any experiences and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • 11.6.0 HF6 is stable. But, 11.6.1 with latest HF is the stable one as per support.
