Hello guys. I need some help if it's possible. I have 8 phisical appliances (F5OS | rSeries), 4 on each Data Center. When the technical was install the licenses, he did a little mistake and install all APM licenses on the same Data Center. Now, I need migrate 1 APM license from the Appliance "A" to appliance "B" in another phisical place. Is it possible? Or will be necessary move the phisical appliance? Thank you!!Solved64Views0likes1CommentMigrate Configs from 5250 to i5800, MINUS HOST specific
We have almost 30 f5 5250v's that are being replaced by i5800's. we need to be able to copy the configuration from the old to the new. We need as much of the settings to include the interfaces and and account if possible. We set these systems up offline and test them then send to end site. Testing in our lab with local systems I have been trying with UCS and SCF files.Modifying the files to include the end system license and modifying the hostname and management IP for the all test. We have problems with invalid versions (14.1.5.1) for the scf transfer attempts. In the attempts for UCS transfer from cli the load commandget the wonderfully descriptive error load sys ucs <filename> Unexpected Error: UCS loading process failedSolved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsMigrate APM Config between versions
Hi everyone! I've been performing a large migration for a customer and all has been going fine. However, I'm now working on a set of appliances that have the APM feature enabled. What is the best way to perform an APM migration between two systems of different versions? The source is version 12.1.5.3. The destination appliance is version 14.1.4.1. The other caveat is that the source appliance's configuration resides in the Common partition. The destination appliance has a few partitions and I need to migrate this APM configuration into a partition. Not sure if that'll make a difference. I've been using the config file to perform these migrations. I've been parsing the configuration file and making modifications so that it imports into the correct partition on the new appliance. However, this is my first time migrating an APM configuration and the configuration seems a bit more complicated than LTM. Again, what is the best way to migrate this configuration? I've already read that I can't simply export/import if the versions are different. Should I just do it all manually? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsProper way to delete route domain

I am trying to migrate my APM config (12.1) that currently resides on a 3900 series hardware device to a new 4800i series hardware (12.1). it appears I cannot use the migrate commands because the config contains APM and not LTM nor GTM. Can someone help me with this? This article seems to say I can follow these steps but I am not sure. https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K82540512208Views0likes0Comments
