Error Message when installing 13.0HF3
This isn't a question, just a solution/FYI because I couldn't find this issue when searching DevCentral for (Failure testing installer update status in /shared/images/) on VCMP. I ran into an issue when attempting to upgrade from 13.0HF2 to 13.0HF3 on my vCMP guest. The 13.0 ISO installed correctly to an empty boot location. However, I got an error message when I attempted to install Hotfix3 on that same partition. There's a bug ID for this (665725) and no fix yet, but the workaround is to restart the lind process on the guest. [notmylogin@notmyguestname-f5-prod:/S1-green-P:ForcedOffline:Disconnected] ~ clsh bigstart restart lind This allowed me to continue the software installation without issue. Hope that helps.

Hello Guys, I will install a HF2 to my current version 11.6.1 however we didn't have 11.6.1 base image in any other slot except the current boot location - MD1.1. In this I would like to remove the Oldest version 10.2.4 in our boot location which is MD1.2 can I just easily click install the 11.6.1 version and choose MD1.2 to overwrite the 10.2.4 in slot MD1.2? Failed Install BIG-IP OS and Hotfix !!
Hola friends, I have a problem about installation BIG IP Operating System. Before that, I have been "md5sum" The BIGIP-12.1.2.0.0.249.iso and "Cat" the Hotfix-BIGIP-12.1.2.2.93.276-HF2-ENG.md5 and same and have been verified. But, when I start install the BIGIP-12.1.2.0.0.249.iso, appear the failed instalation, like this pics: Every one know how to solve it ?? Thanks so muchh ..... :))
PHONEHOME: Update Server unavailable
Recently i have started seeing this error. What is this about? If F5 checking for updates then how to check which server its connecting etc and where are the proper place to check logs I found following logs in Logs > LTM Tue Oct 6 04:03:10 EDT 2015infolbf5updatecheck[12466] PHONEHOME: Update Server unavailable
failed (RPM transaction failure.) installing 12.1.0 HF1
Hey DevCentral, I'm working on upgrading from 12.0.0 to 12.1.0 HF1. Part one, installing the base OS 12.1.0 goes fine, but when I go to install HF1, it continuously gets an RPM Transaction Failure. I have retried this four times now, rebooting the device after each and reuploading the ISO. I'm not quite sure what it means, and I can't find much information about it online. Any help as to learning what happened and how to overcome it would be appreciated. Thank you!
Failed 12.0.0 HF1 update
Hi, I just tried to apply 12.0.0 HF1 to on brand new BIG-IP 4000. There was 12.0.0 preinstaled on HD1.2. After import and md5 check I used both gui and tmsh to apply hotfix to this volume (of course inactive). Almost immediately I received such error: failed (Cannot enumerate packages on target partition) I tried to find anything about it but nothing seems to be available. I wonder if someone maybe had the same issue and managed to solve it. PiotrDid GTM+LTM need to remove from sync group before Upgrade HF?
Hi I've plan to upgrade HF GTM+LTM (provision 2 module) from 11.4.1 HF3 to 11.4.1 HF9 I've 4 GTM+LTM (First pair at site one , another two at site two), It's all in GTM sync group . Did I need to remove GTM from sync group in site one before upgrade? Or can I Just upgrade both GTM in site one ... and then Upgrade GTM in site two respectively ? Thank you very much
