Jan 15, 2015Virtual Server - Port Translation
Hi, I am wondering what does the "port translation" in the Virtual Server setup means and how it is applied?

Based on what I have read in devcentral, this seems to be the destination port translation. Is this correct? So if I have a VS (with port translation enabled) that is listening on port 1000, and pool members that is listening on port 2000 will work without the need for any additonal irules right? What if my pool has members which are listening of dfferent ports? Will that get automatically translated as well? eg TCP 2001, 2002, 2003 ... - What_Lies_Bene1

As long as you have address and port translation enabled, everything is automatically translated where destination IPs and ports are concerned. Multiple servers, each listening on different ports is no problem at all.
