  • Yes.

    • Connection Limit = Specifies the maximum number of concurrent connections allowed for the virtual server. Setting this to 0 turns off connection limits. The default is 0.

    • Connection Rate Limit = Specifies the maximum number of connections-per-second allowed for a virtual server. When the number of connections-per-second reaches the limit for a given virtual server, the system drops (UDP) or resets (TCP) additional connection requests. This helps detect Denial of Service attacks, where connection requests flood a virtual server. Setting this to 0 turns off connection limits. The default is 0.

  • Thank you so much Kevin for your reply...I need to know one more thing...If we set connection limit to 1,what does it mean....and what should be the value if we don't want to set connection limit to default value.

    Thanks Manoj

  • A connection limit of 1 means you allow 1 active connection.

Not sure what you mean by not setting connection limit to default value. The default value is 0, which means NO connection limit.

  • Ok...thanks,If we want to allow 10 active connection to the VS,then connection limit will be set to 10. ?

  • Kevin...one last question.. If we set connection limit to 0,this means there is no limit of active connection. But is there any capacity of device that can handle infinite number connection?
