If we have Virtual Server configured with Source Address Affinity Persistence Profile , what happens to the persistence connection when the VS is "Disabled" ? Does the connection time-out immediately or after the persistence timer expires ?

Hi Rose,

According to tech docs (AskF5 | Manual Chapter: Enabling and Disabling Local Traffic Objects), when a VS disabled, the virtual server no longer listens for traffic destined for the IP address and port specified in the virtual server configuration. As far as I know, persistence connection will be dropped when the VS is disabled.

When you disable a pool member or node, persistence connection matters as explained in the following article:

Disabling nodes or pool members for maintenance (11.x - 16.x) (f5.com)
