Export device backups from BIG-IQ to an external FTP

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to export the managed devices' UCS files from BIG-IQ to an external FTP server. Preferably something that could be scheduled right after it gets the UCS from the devices.

I'm quite sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find anything of the sort. And BIG-IQ's Knowledge Center has all sort of fancy and advanced implementation guides but not a basic user guide...

Hi Mike,

Does it have to be ftp, or can sftp work? When you create an UCS backup schedule on the BigIQ, there is an option at the bottom called "Archive". Select that one and it should show you the configuration for sending it straight across to a backup server using SCF or SFTP.

Indeed! I hadn't noticed that Archive button 🙂 And the customer just confirmed me that the server does support SFTP, so we're good.
