Can we add/mix differnet models of BIG IP DNS e.g. hardware and virtual BIG IP DNS in the same synchronization group ? Will existing configuration including iquery statistics etc. will be replicated to new device porperly in that case ?

Hi,
The answer to your question is Yes, but you have to meet some requirements as:
*BIG-IP DNS synchronization group members must be running the same software version
*Synchronization parameters must be properly defined for all members
*NTP must be configured on each device
*Port Lockdown must be set properly for the relevant self IP addresses

When you make the gtm_add from the new device to the primary, it replicates all the DNS configuration that can be replicated.
