Can we add/mix differnet models of BIG IP DNS e.g. hardware and virtual BIG IP DNS in the same synchronization group ?  Will existing configuration including iquery statistics etc. will be replicated to new device porperly in that case ?

Hi,

The answer to your question is Yes, but you have to meet some requirements as:

*BIG-IP DNS synchronization group members must be running the same software version

*Synchronization parameters must be properly defined for all members

*NTP must be configured on each device

*Port Lockdown must be set properly for the relevant self IP addresses

When you make the gtm_add from the new device to the primary, it replicates all the DNS configuration that can be replicated.
