Ansible to deploy access policies

Hi All

Just wondering how people use Ansible to deploy new versions of Access Policies?

I want to automate the deployment of a VIP and associated profile/policy. My question relates to how people use Ansible to deploy subsequent versions of the access policy. For example I'll be setting up BigIP as an IdP, so when I want to onboard a new application/SP i'd like to be able to use Ansible to re-deploy the access policy.

Looking at the bigip_apm_policy_import doco, there is the force parameter that states "When set to yes any existing policy with the same name will be overwritten by the new import. If policy does not exist this setting is ignored." but when I set that, it creates a new policy with _1 appended to the end instead of overwriting the existing policy.

Have I misinterpreted what force should be doing?

Cheers,

Simon
