I am getting ready to use a netHSM but one question I have that I'm not finding any answers for is with regard to BIGIP upgrades. For example, if I set up an hsm installation, does that all get carried over to another boot partition when I upgrade to a new version of bigip with the configuration copy option to a new partition?

 

I had to create a /shared/safenet directory on the BigIP, how does an upgrade affect that?

 

Thanks in advance if anyone has any answer or guidance on how an upgrade would affect the external hsm settings.
